Basic Tutorial 

This tutorial is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tuts is purely coincidental. This tutorial is for personal use only.you will need a working knowledge of gimp or psp or other similar programmes.

I Am Using Gimp which is a free programme you can download 

* Go to file > new > 600 x600 > ok 

* Layer > Tranparency >color to alpha >ok 

* open up the scrapkit and select a paper i am using paper 4

* scale your paper to fit canvas 

* now open up your mask im using wsl mask 325 .which you can get at her blog the link is provided above.

* Add your mask to the paper layer .

* If Your Unsure how to add the mask here you  go open up your mask layer scale too 600x600

And make sure it is above the paper layer in your layers box

next right click the paper layer in the layer box and click add layer mask make sure full black transparency is selected in the pop up box make sure the little black box is highlighted white on your dialogue box .

now click on your mask layer in the layer box and go up to edit then click copy .you can hide the mask layer now by clicking the little eye.

next click on your paper layer go up to edit and hit paste you should now see your mask paper layer you will need to anchor  the floating layer you do this by hitting the little icon that looks like an anchor on your layer box.you can now delete the original mask layer .

* now we can move on open up the western frame png and scale my settings 630 x 645 .

* add a drop shadow 

*filters > light and shadow > drop shadow > pop up box > 2,2,2, black .

*next were going to use the grass 2 png open up and scale to fit along bottom and back of frame duplicate the layer if u need to and play around with them till your happy .

* next open up the tree element and scale and fit behind frame to the right of it and repeat your drop shadow .

*next open up the horse 2 png and scale 300x400 and place next to tree on top of grass behind frame.

* repeat your drop shadow.

*open up the barn element and scale to fit on left hand side behind the frame and place where your happy .

see my tag above to get an idea .

*ive also added some flowers in front of barn so open up the flowers element and scale and place on right hand side of frame 

*repeat a drop shadow .

* next open up the word art and scale and place in front of the hay bales .

*now we can open are tube and scale 375x300 place her on the hay bales and add a drop shadow .

* next open up the bird png and scale and place it on top of the wheel on the frame so it looks like its perched 

* and repeat drop shadow 

now merge all your layers .

now its time for you too add those all important credits .

now choose your font add your sig and your done
